  1. Belmond, Kimpton, Jumeirah and St Regis – there are some big players here. Would be hard to go wrong with any of those.

    Don’t know anything about Castillo. If they’re up there with the others they must be good.

  4. The Kimpton is probably about the right size. I often find boutique hotels a bit too boutique, the staff can be desperate for someone to talk to and there usually aren’t that many facilities.

    Then again, once you get over 100 rooms it can become impersonal and you might even have to queue for things!
