  1. Things have been hectic for the last few months, both at work and with the family. Even my workaholic husband says that we have to slow down and take a break. There’s some great inspiration here for possible escapes.

    1. Hi Karen, sounds like you’re both in need of a good relaxing break away from it all. Great to hear you found some inspiration in this post.

    1. It’s hard to choose just one isn’t it! Maybe going to all would be the best way to find out which one is your favourite :)

  2. After all those disrupted nights of early motherhood when they were crying in the night and then again of the teenage years waiting for them to get in after all their nights out, my sleep patterns are so destroyed that I rarely get a good night’s sleep. It really is time that I tackled the problem seriously so I am really interested to learn what the TIA Wellness Resort has to offer.

    TIA Wellness Resort,

    1. Hi Charli, some of the wellness resorts offer sleep therapy as well so that would be just perfect for you. Sleep is so important so by the sounds of it, it would be good to tackle the problem so you can finally have some great nights.

  3. Santini Wellness Is very tempting for me. I’ve been to Sri Lanka but didn’t get to Kandy. Seeing snd experiencing Kandy, on top of all the wellness would make for a trip of a lifetime. I had great time on my last visit to Sri Lanka and would love to go back and it would be even better with the wellness package.

    1. Sri Lanka is just beautiful, isn’t it? I have visited Kandy many years ago and it’s a great place. Santani Wellness will be the icing on the cake. Definitely worth visiting again.

  4. Now all that I have to do is persuade my husband that we should go to one of these for our autumn holiday.

    1. Hi Moyà, I don’t think much persuading is required… just show him some of these options and I’m sure he’ll be convinced.

  5. As the pace of modern life is relentless and as so many of us are playing so many roles of employee, mother and wife I think it is essential to set aside some quality “me time”. To be honest one spa day just doesn’t cut it for me, there’s no chance of switching off. One of these resorts would do the job for me.

    1. I completely agree with you. It’s even more stressful for my partner as she also runs her own business. I’d love for her to take a well-deserved week out, ideally travelling with some friends, whilst I kept things ticking over at home.

    2. We definitely live in a world where we’re constantly doing things rather than just simply being. I agree that one spa day doesn’t cut it and so these resorts are perfect. Keep an eye out on View Retreats in the next few weeks too as some new exciting wellness holidays will be launched – these are perfect for the ultimate relaxation.

  6. My partner and I have contrasting attitudes to our holidays. My holiday paradise is to relax with treatment after treatment at a spa whilst he loves getting out and about seeing all the sights. It works well as we both have plenty to talk about when we get together for evening drinks and dinner. The Kandy Wellness resort in Sri Lanka looks as if it could keep us both very happy.

    1. I think I’m more like you Karen! Days filled with spa treatments is my kind of holiday. I agree that staying at Santani Wellness would be the perfect choice.

  7. Wellness really is having a moment and trending. I read a report yesterday that said 30% of UK travellers would consider a wellness holiday or break. It’s an astonishing figure even though “consider” is very different from “book and pay for.”

It’s a stat that really must say a lot – and not in a good way – about the frantic and frenetic lives that we lead nowadays.

    1. Yes, wellness travel is definitely having a moment and for good reason. We all work long hours and thus really taking it slow when we’re away is a must.
