  2. You have to pick your places and your times for a Blue Mountains getaway. There are days and places where it can get far too busy for my liking. It’s promising that Nyah is a boutique hotel. When you do your research and get it all right, The Blue Mountains can be magical.

    1. The Blue Mountains can get busy, especially because it’s so close to Sydney. But as you mentioned, if you pick the right time and the right accommodation, you can have a very quiet escape from the city.

  3. We haven’t had a holiday let alone a long weekend for at least 8 months. It’s been work, work, work. There are some great places here. It would be great to get out of the city, even if it’s only for a few nights. Some awesome places here.

  4. I read this a week or so ago when it was first published and I can’t get some of these properties out of my mind, they really are stunning and quite hauntingly beautiful. I had to come back to take a second look and now with the relaunched A Luxury Travel Blog they look even more tempting than before.

    The design of each of them is so chic and so cool. I can see my wife never wanting to go home.

  6. Some great places here in fantastic locations caused my mind to wander. Escaping to one of these great spots would be great but if left me thinking that it would be good to have a second-home weekend retreat where you could go whenever you wanted. Ideally decorated and furnished to the standard of the ones you show.
