Visa applications made easy

The visa made easy

Have suitcase. Will travel. Hang on. Not so fast. Unfortunately, travel isn’t always that easy. We don’t live in a world without borders. Passports are needed. Then, depending on your next bucket-list destination, visas are often required within said passports. And as anyone who’s ever travelled anywhere requiring a visa can tell you, those aren’t always easy to come by! Fortunately, with agencies like e-visa.co.uk now tackling the visa debacles for you, travel is getting easier than ever before. Visa applications made easy Visas then Time-consuming. Expensive. Fiddly. Pedantic. Tedious. Bleep. Bloop. #$%*. These are all words we’ve heard used to describe the process of acquiring visas from any number of the countries that need them. Visa websites can be hard to navigate, frequently with little to no customer support to ensure you have all the necessary requirements and information included before submitting, or to answer questions on what is, often, a confusing process. What this results in is a visa process that is not only frequently rejected, requiring resubmission, with all the tediousness and expense that goes along with that, but that could delay travel plans. Old school visa stamp The good news is: that doesn’t have to be the case. The only case you should have, is the one that’s packed and ready to fly, and with the help of a visa agency, that is now easier than ever. Visas now For a slightly higher fee (and in fact, with the chance of resubmission greatly reduced, possibly even less expense), travellers can now apply for visas to many countries through one single website, such as that offered by e-visa.co.uk. 1. I wish that I had known about this service before I’d made this mistake of applying for an Indian visa. Their requirements for how they want an image of your passport and your picture presented are very specific and probably require the sort of IT skills that would get you through A Level IT.

We had a brilliant time in India and I said that I would never go back as getting a Visa is so tricky but if someone else will do it for me that might change.

    1. I’ve had some bad experiences applying for visas online but India was definitely the most traumatic. I would have thought that they would welcome the tourist dollar rather than trying to make it as difficult as possible to get in, Then when you get there you have to queue up for 2 hours to have your visa stamped?!?!

  2. We’re heading off on a cruise early Autumn and we need a number of visas for all the ports of call. I’m just relieved that we don’t have to spend days on end doing all those applications ourselves. My husband always says that delegation is a good skill to have.

  3. A friend told me that Oman’s fantastic new e-visa online system isn’t as fantastic as it is supposed to be and that no one ever mans their help desk or answers e-mails. I’ve heard that Oman is a fascinating and beautiful country but I wasn’t going to waste my time battling with an online system that doesn’t work. Maybe Oman is a possibility now after all.

  4. Life’s too short for filling In visa forms online. I’ve got better things to do with my time. Leave it to the professionals!

  5. I remember reading that the UK is sliding down the visa league table. The number of countries asking for U.K. citizens to have a visa is on the up. You’ll be needing this company more often than you might have done in the past.

  6. This seems like a great idea to me. It’s nice to know that you can get a visa easily because then it’s one less thing to worry about when traveling. I’m sure there are many countries around the world where people wish the visa process was a little easier. So this is nice.

  7. I’ve only had to go through the Visa process once when working abroad years ago and I’ll be honest, it was pretty nerve wracking. I’ve had friends in more recent years applying for visas to different places for holidays and long term stays, one even went to Japan to teach for 2 years but I don’t know how he found the visa process.

I think it’s got to be off-putting for a lot of people because it can seem complex and pretty discouraging, so it’s about time the online portal came into effect. It does sound a lot easier doing it that way and very reassuring to know there’s a real person that’s checking your application so you don’t get any nasty surprises further down the line! That 24/7 customer service will come in handy too and it’s good you’re kept in the loop about what’s happening so you’re not left in the dark or forever having to chase it up to find out what’s going on. Love your humour in this, makes the visa process seem less daunting!

  8. It’s probably for the best that I can’t remember which country’s visa it was for but I did everything on my application, taking about an hour. Next morning I got an e-mail saying that my application had been rejected because of the low resolution of my ID photo. To add insult to injury the e-mail said that if I didn’t get it right next time I’d have to start from the beginning again and pay another fee which I think was about £70.

  9. I suppose it’s the old thing about good service. No one ever walks into a pub and starts up with,”I’ve just had a brilliant experience applying for my Afghanistan, Indian, Zimbabwean visa etc”

The reality of the situation is that when things go well you expect it and don’t share the good news. When it’s a car crash of a process you tell Tom, Dick, Harry and everyone else in the bar.

But having tried to be fair I’ve certainly heard more than my fair share of visa application horror stories and not surprisingly there are a few more on here.

  10. Paul – you certainly seem to have touched upon a raw nerve here. I never realised that so many people have had bad experiences with visa applications. It’s very sad when the whole bureaucratic experience is so worrying that it actually puts people off the thought of travelling to a destination. It’s so ironic that countries spend millions on marketing campaigns only for their immigration officials to counteract all their good work, it is as if the right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing. Delegating to the visa service, saving yourself time and stress, seems to be a very simple choice to me.

  11. Wow, money-back guarantee if your visa gets denied? Wish that happens even for third-world country dwellers. We have to pay an insane amount of visa fee (like USD 160 a pop) and then get denied for unknown reasons — they won’t tell you any of course. And most require filling out application forms online and scheduling and personal appearances. This is a great service to have, and I can only hope it will come to our shores soon so we can travel a bit more easy around other parts of the world.

  12. A big thank you to this post! I live alone and an introvert so I am very shy in approaching people to ask for tips and suggestions. I came across this post and it helped me a lot. And money-back guarantee? That’s really assuring. This page and the website link are not bookmarked. When we go back to leisure travel I will be sure to use this site to apply for my visa, and then on to shopping for travel deals online.
