News on the London Heliport at Battersea

Category: Regions — Paul Johnson @ 10:56 am

von Essen Hotels  acquired the London Heliport in Battersea earlier this month  in a deal thought to be worth around £50m. In a new development on the site, there will be not only the heliport but also a seven-storey, 70-room  boutique hotel, plus an office development which will become von Essen’s main headquarters. It’s even rumoured that they are in talks with Gordon Ramsey about a rooftop restaurant at the hotel. Conveniently located on the south bank of the River Thames between Wandsworth and Battersea bridges, the London Heliport provides landing, parking and refuelling services and is the capital’s only commercial heliport licensed by the Civil Aviation Authority.
