Top 10 up-and-coming travel destinations according to VirtualTourist

Lake AtitlánVirtualTourist has used feedback from its visitors (over 6 million a month, they claim) to determine the world’s most up-and-coming destinations.  Within the US, Nevada’s Valley of Fire State Park tops the list. And, when it comes to international destinations, Lake Atitlán in the beautiful Guatemalan Highlands comes up trumps:

    1. Lake Atitlan is a truly wonderful place. Amazing views, makes you really relax.
      We stayed at Lomas De Tzunumá. From here you get beautiful views over the lake and the couple who owns it are really nice and welcomes you with warm hands.
