Jules Undersea Lodge, Key Largo, Forida Keys

Jules Undersea LodgeI’ve mentioned underwater hotels on A Luxury Travel Blog before, but I think – until now – Jules Undersea Lodge has escaped the radar. It’s an underwater research base which has opened itself to the public. Featured in ‘Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous’, a stay here will set you back $475 per person per night, including gourmet dinner and breakfast.   What’s rather unique about the property is that you have to scuba dive to get there!

  1. My son James & I have been to the Jules Undersea Lodge in Key Largo, Florida. And you’re definitely right about it being unique. We had just acquired our scuba diving certification, so we were able to dive down to get into the lodge.

It’s small but interesting & reminded me of a submarine of sorts. I almost felt as if I was going on an adventure like the underwater explorer Jacques Cousteau.

When looking out of the round lodge windows, it seemed like you were gazing into an aquarium, as you watched the fish swim around. That is unless another scuba diver went by :-)
