Discovery at Marigot Bay, the new five star hotel in St Lucia, has just launched four special packages for 2008. These include a family pirate package, an adventure holiday, diving special and new romance and honeymoon creation. With the former you get to sail just as the pirates did on the boat “The Brig Unicorn” featured in the recent Johnny Depp pirate movies. Children will be armed with plastic swords and eye patches, get to walk the plank and swing from ropes into crystal clear waters, for real swashbuckling fun! The ship sails off to the historic town of Soufriere where you can see the Pitons, drive through the famous volcano and take a refreshing dip in a beautiful natural waterfall. The 7-night Family Pirate Package in a 2 bed Resort View Suite costs from $8,756 based on two adults and two children sharing on a B&B basis, and includes a day on The Brig Unicorn, babysitter for one evening and dinner for two parents.

If you ever get to go on the Brig Unicorn, please do! My wife and I went on there for a sunset cruise and it was out of this world!

When we went to St Lucia we didn’t go on it but used to see it sailing past the hotel looked great! Shame I didn’t see Johnny Depp…
