Remember El Blog de un Hotel, the Spanish blog about a mystery 5-star hotel? Well, it’s unveiled its identity somewhat earlier than it had suggested last September/October. It is the Eurostars Madrid Tower Hotel and is to be found in the Cuatro Torres Business Area – the same business park that will be home to the City of Madrid International Convention Centre. The blog’s secrecy has been an interesting marketing move on the part of the hotel; I think it’s rather clever when you can generate a following for something, yet the followers don’t actually know exactly who or what they’re following! The hotel is slated to open in the Autumn of 2008.

What a great marketing concept – a kind of teaser of such to promote a hotel – like it. Its good when hotel marketing teams come up with something refreshing and innovative to market their product. Great idea!
