Refurbishment plans for luxury Silversea Cruises guest ships

Silversea Cruises are going to bring the interiors of their 296-guest ships – Silver Cloud and Silver Wind – in line with the style and glamour of their newest ship, Silver Spirit, says Luxury Travel Magazine. This 540-guest ship is scheduled to hit the waters in December 2009, and the refurbishments to the other ships will take place over 2008 and 2009. Silver Wind’s month-long refit is scheduled for November, followed by work on Silver Cloud in May 2009. This planned work is to include suite upgrades, including new bathrooms, carpets, flat screen TVs, as well as additional facilities such as an ocean-view spa and fitness centre on deck 9, an observation lounge, eight large suites on decks 7 and 8, reduction of Vista Suites on deck 4, and a guest lift connecting decks 8 and 9.
