Hassleblad digital camera with 39 megapixels!
Hassleblad have come up with a 39 megapixel digital camera. Quite how that number of megapixels has its uses, I’m not sure, but at around $31,000 it’ll surely be beyond the budget of most buyers. The medium-format Hassleblad H2D-39 features a 2.2-inch OLED display, on which you can view your 78MB shots. You need not really despair about storage space though — this monster of a camera supports tethered hard drives.
Wow! But I wonder how much this monster weighs. I’ve just weighed my Canon D60 (plus 28-90mm lens and strap) and it’s 1074g. No wonder I’m always moaning that my bag is heavy.
I like to carry my camera just about everywhere – just in case – so weight is quite important to me. We did buy a compact a few years ago, but I never really took to it. I’m sticking to SLRs.
