Travel is the number one leisure activity of China’s wealthy

The Shanghai-based Hurun Report  has released the result of  its latest survey on the lifestyle of China‘s richest people. The survey covers nearly 600 mainland Chinese with an estimated wealth of at least 10 million yuan. Among the top 10 most popular leisure activities, 28 per cent of them said their number one hobby was travel (followed by swimming and golf). While Australia was the overall top travel destination, cultural differences between the regions determine the others. Beijing’s entrepreneurs favoured the US, while those from Shanghai preferred European destinations, citing France as their top destination for 2006. And for domestic destinations, Hainan’s Sanya was named the top, and Yunnan came a close second.

  1. We should develop tourism to the Gulf States especially along the Mississippi River. I want to go.
