It’s the official premiere of the The Da Vinci Code starring Tom Hanks and Audrey Tautou this evening, and many corners of the globe are bracing themselves for Da Vinci Code tourists. Tours of Paris and the Louvre are the obvious first port of call, with the likes of London, Scotland and Rome also attempting to ‘cash in’ on the opportunity. Travel publishers Fodor’s have even published a Da Vinci Code tourism guide. For the ultimate Da Vinci Code experience, rent out Château de Villette, which features in the book, for $50,000 for the week.
