W Maldives Fesdu Resort

Then head to Fesdu Island, a tiny atoll ringed by white-sand beaches and coral reefs, where W Hotels is building 50 thatched bungalows that tiptoe across the turquoise-blue water, furnished with rattan daybeds, gauzy curtains and martini glasses. W Maldives is scheduled to open in June, with rooms starting at $1,300 a night.
