According to Al Fayed, Dubai could soon be welcoming a Harrods 102 convenience store. These are a new addition to the well-known Harrods brand, getting their name from the first outlet which opened at 102 Brompton Road in London. The shops sell signature Harrods products, including a range of delicatessen goods. Paris, Berlin and New York could also be welcoming one of these upscale Harrods outlets in the not too distant future.
I’m surprised it has taken them so long to do this, Harvey Nichols have been making in roads into this market with stores in Dubai’s Mall of Emirates and Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, Jakarta & Istanbul. Think these are profitable markets for the stores.
