Arizona’s L’Auberge de Sedona has taken guest pampering to the next level by opening its doors to guests’ dogs. Its Paws and Spa Package is a luxury getaway that includes treats for both owner and pet. The package includes accommodation in one of the four-star resort’s Garden Side Cottages, a one hour massage for two human guests and breakfast for two each morning at the award-winning L’Auberge Restaurant. In the cottage, pets will have their very own dog bed, mat and feeding bowl and upon arrival they receive a lunch box filled with dog biscuits, a bandanna, L’Auberge Water, clean-up bags, a toy and a menu full of gourmet goodies from Sedona’s Three Dog Bakery.

It’s really nice to see that upscale, luxury spas and hotels are recognizing that dog owners need, and will pay for, luxury accommodations. Pet travel is big business, something that Motel 6 and Super 8 have recognized for years. Thankfully we now have choices beyond the low-budget chains.
