Wynn Las Vegas, will make one of his biggest gambles this week when he opens a sleek $1 billion hotel-casino in Macau. The Wynn Macau is a small replica of the Las Vegas resort and is expected to attract the Chinese gambling masses. It has six gourmet restaurants, a shopping precinct, health club, pool and spa, not to mention lots of space for gambling and Las Vegas style entertainment.

macau is well worth a visit particularly if you are staying in hong kong you can take the hydrafoil and spend a day or two easily, particularly with all the new hotels that have opened up recently. a great asian escape.
