Business booming for Westin hotel
Business is booming for the new Westin Annapolis in Maryland – and it’s not even open yet! According to The Capital, they’ve already taken a booking for a $32,500 wedding reception and have $2.5 million in sales lined up. The $1,000 a night Presidential Suite – with two bedrooms, three bathrooms and a Jacuzzi – has yet to lure anyone, but this is still an impressive start for a hotel that it isn’t due to open its doors until June.

Annapolis is a beautiful place to visit. Not far from Baltimore and from BWI Airport. It has some great hotels like the Westin, some fabulous restaurants and some great shops & boutiques – all independent (no chain stores in the centre). If you wish for chain stores there is the large Annapolis Mall on the outskirts of town with everything and more than you could need. It is also home to the US Naval Academy which means a regular supply of sailors in and around the town. A visit to the Naval Academy is worth doing as well.
