The Macdonald Randolph Hotel given 5-star rating

Oxford has its first five-star hotel. The Macdonald Randolph Hotel in Oxford is the second five-star property  run by  the Scottish group, Macdonald Hotels and Resorts. The award comes after the chain has invested £160m into refurbishing its hotels. Rooms at the Randolph start from £140 per night. Pay more and you could stay in the Presidential Suite which has been  occupied by  the likes of  Bill Clinton and  Michael Douglas.
