Hotels getting healthier?

I’ve already reported about the non-smoking policies adopted by Marriott and others. Now it appears that hotel chains are getting more health-conscious in other areas too. As of 1st February 2007, Loews Hotels will ban artificial trans fats in the food that it offers, and will become the first hotel chain to do so. The move is in line with changes being made by a growing number of fast-food chains.
It is nice to see that hotels are getting that bit more health concious, however it doesn’t always spill over into the room service menus in some of the hotel chains. this can be particularly important when you are away on business for several days and weeks and really just want something simple and healthy. Hope more hotels take heed of this.
