Fiji’s first ever overwater bungalows

LikulikuIt seems hard to believe that Fiji hasn’t yet cashed in on the ever-growing trend for overwater bungalows but apparently it hasn’t… until now, at least. Likuliku Lagoon Resort, an exclusive resort off the west coast of the island of Viti Levu,  has opened its doors to offer the first true overwater bungalow experience in Fiji. With intimate charm, the resort has 46 spacious bures – 10 of which are over water and 36 line the pristine beachfront. Some have private plunge pools and outdoor showers, but all have inescapable views of the brilliant ocean.

    Likuliku left us speechless.

The staff were amazing, the food was out of this world, the overwater bures were stunning and designed with great throught and the location is spectacular!

If you want a luxury get away where you will be treated like royalty – go to Likuliku. And yes – we cried when we left!!!!

    ——————————————————-To the staff at Likuliku….

We heard tales of an island
A place of calm and sheltered waters
    A place for lover
    No sons, no daughters

We came to see this place for ourselves
    We found Likuliku
    An earthly paradise
Just off the Fijian coral shelves

    We were met with ‘Bula!’
    A welcome so warm
    You were all so kind
    Through day, dusk and dawn

    We experienced the wonders
    Of customs of old
    We saw the beauty
That in words cannot be told

    A beauty of land
    A beauty of sea
    But most special of all
    The beauty of thee!!

    Vinaka & Ni Sa Moce!!
