VisitBritain now has dedicated luxury section

VisitBritainVisitBritain, formerly known as the British Tourist Authority and the English Tourism Council before they merged, now has a dedicated  luxury section on its website.   Whilst it has some useful information within it, it is also sadly lacking in some areas.   For instance, click on ‘First Class Travel’ under ‘Luxury experiences’ and you get some editorial that tells you to click on the links “to find out some luxurious travel options offered by our partners” but then no links are provided!   Oh well… perhaps that’s to be expected for VisitBritain…

  1. Hi Paul,
Very interesting. I guess every national tourism marketing organization is trying to focus on “high-yield travelers”. The Canadian Tourism, we launched a Luxury micro-site for the US market end of last year.

PS: I saw that you launched the L-List Community. Very nice – we should link the T-List and the L-List communities on Facebook, and try to stimulate conversations…

  2. Thanks, Jens… I’ll take a look at that Canadian Tourism site some time.

As for interlinking the two Facebook communities, I’d of course be happy to do that… how do we go about doing that?

    Paul
