Wireless broadband coming to the skies near you?

WiFi in the skyThe world’s largest airline, American Airlines, has announced that it’s going to be testing in-flight high-speed internet access on its Boeing 767-200 aircraft next year.   They are partnering with AirCell using technology approved by the Federal Aviation Administration  with the aim of providing passengers with a high-speed connection, VPN access and e-mail capabilities through Wi-Fi-enabled laptops and PDA devices.
