Malmaison Manchester – a hotel I have stayed at on a couple of occasions, but not for a few years now – has won Best Business Hotel of the Year 2007 at the Esquire Magazine Awards, fighting off stiff opposition from Hotel du Vin Birmingham, Balmoral Edinburgh from The Rocco Forte Collection, and Four Seasons Canary Wharf.
