From just one property in 1994, in just 13 years Banyan Tree has expanded to more than twenty properties today. But perhaps all the more impressive is the awards that it’s picked up along the way. Over the past decade and more, Banyan Tree has received an incredible 340 awards. Mostly recently, Banyan Tree Lijiang scooped ‘Best New Resort Hotel’ in the TTG Travel Awards 2007, and Banyan Tree Spa Phuket – with its tropical garden spa concept – picked up ‘Favourite Spa in Southeast Asia’ in the Spa Finder Readers’ Choice Awards 2007.
