The rise and fall of two restaurants in France

Le Petit NiceDisappointment comes today to a restaurant when Napoleon once dined. Le Grand Vefour in Paris lost one of its Michelin stars and has been downgraded to just two stars.   It was the only three-star restaurant in the Michelin guide to France, to be published later this week,  to suffer this fate.   Meanwhile, on a more positive note, just one establishment gained a third Michelin star – that went to Marseille’s Le Petit Nice.
