Flying Refined with Porter Airlines

From the end of this month, a new airline – Porter Airlines – will begin flying between Newark (EWR) and downtown Toronto’s City Centre Airport (YTZ). This allows passengers wanting to fly to Toronto to actually fly to within minutes of the downtown area of the city, rather than have to go to Pearson. They’re flying new, environmentally friendly Bombardier Q400 planes on the route, with some ultra-modern facilities. They are being heralded as the most technologically-advanced regional aircraft in the world. Click to see their ‘Flying Refined’ video and learn more.
Porter offers great service and it definitely operates from a convenient location but anyone interested in the beautification of Toronto’s waterfront would tell you there’s no place for an airport. By the way, when did airplanes become “environmentally friendly?

Point taken, Mark. Let’s just say everything is relative! The aircraft is reputedly fuel efficient when compared with similar planes. Lufthansa, for instance, use them because they comply with strict European rules on noise and emissions.
