Wow those pictures are stunning, and the rooms seem to have pretty gorgeous views as well. I see they have jumped on the see through bathroom trend. Anyone else getting a little sick of this?
Fairmont have a good record on making their hotel operations sustainable. I can’t seem to find anything about how they are reducing their footprint in the Beijing Fairmont. Perhaps fairmont_beijing, you can help me?

Maya, your comment about the see-through bathroom made me laugh. Years ago we stayed in chalet style accommodation at the Intan Laguna resort in Bali. It was wonderful. The bedroom was air-conditioned, of course, but the en suite bathroom was open to the elements. It had four walls but no ceiling!
I loved it because the sun created lots of rainbows around you when you had a shower. I was really taken with this and recommended it to a couple of our friends. The woman hated it. She said she couldn’t be comfortable in case any one was looking down on her. LOL!
I tried to stay there this Sept. But they were not ready to open :(. Next time!
