Its great to see the W hotels expanding further into Europe – its about time. Great location down at the waterfront and barcelona is such a compact city you can either walk or use the subway to visit all the major attractions – although beware of pick pockets – they are rife and particularly on the subway.
If you are into football I would certainly recommend you coinciding you visit with taking in a game at the Nou Camp – a great experience and fab fun!
I didn´t get good feedback from some W hotels I sent clients to, especially in NY. However, I think Barcelona can be a great location for this, as a modern city. And with the opening of the Mandarin, it will definitely increase the level of high profile clients travelling to Barcelona. And if W includes a nice top outdoor terrace, it can turn into the chic place to be very soon.
This is going to be a very sexy W hotel. CAnt wait.
