3 luxury airport hotels in the UK

A night in an airport hotel might not fill you with excitement, but it you don’t always have to stay in a concrete box by the terminal. There are some very luxurious accommodation options at airports around the UK.

Sofitel London Heathrow

This is a huge new hotel at Heathrow’s Terminal 5. There are 605 guest rooms, including 27 suites. The most luxurious accommodation is in the Imperial Suite, which has a massive 165 square metres of space, 3 bedrooms, living room, dining room and Swarovski Crystal bathrooms. Staying here gives you free access into the hotel’s Hydro Suite with steam room, sauna and vitality pool.

Marriott Dalmahoy Hotel & Country Club

This building is a historic Baronial Manor set in 1000 acres of parkland. Despite its rural position, it has easy access to Edinburgh Airport, which is less than 5 km away. All the guest rooms have 32 inch flat screen TV’s and most have views over the hotel’s championship golf course. The Turret Suites have separate living rooms and dining areas.

Plush Hotel, Bristol

This boutique hotel has just 8 rooms, which gives it a personal and intimate atmosphere. It is set in two acres of beautiful gardens with views over the Mendip Hills, yet it is less than 2 km from Bristol International Airport. The spacious guest rooms are all individually and sumptuously decorated, and the beds are made up with Egyptian cotton sheets. The hotel has a pool and Jacuzzi and guests can enjoy beauty treatments from visiting therapists.
