The Peninsula New York’s Sun Terrace
Peninsula New York, heralds the arrival of New Yorks next great urban oasis. The re-opened Sun Terrace, located between the 21st and 22nd floors of the hotel, features amazing views of the skyline and is on the mezzanine level of The Peninsula Spa by ESPA.
The Sun Terrace will be open every day from 9am to 6pm. It can be reached through the entrance to the spa on the 21st floor. This same space is available for booking for private cocktail parties of up to 75 guests.
The saffron and russet colors of the new Sun Terrace enhance the teak furniture, and will complement the subtle grays and browns of The Spa. A Zen environment with chic elegance will be created by the addition of sun loungers and tables for dining al fresco.
The Sun Terrace is expected to offer many amenities to guests of the hotel, guests of the day spa, and fitness members. These amenities will include food and beverage menus that include smoothies and fresh, seasonal selections, and an attendant with sun block, cool hand towels, and bottles of cold water.
Activities on the Sun Terrace will include sunrise yoga (complimentary) at 7am three times a week. Personal trainers will also be available for those who wish to have customized outdoor training sessions.
The Peninsula Spa by ESPA is Five Star-rated by Forbes. Its part of The Peninsula New York and is located on the top three floors of the hotel. It features twelve treatment rooms, an Asian Tea Lounge, a Private Spa Suite, both mens and womens relaxation lounges, and changing rooms. Changing rooms feature aromatherapy steam rooms, ice fountains, saunas, and an experience shower. Sophisticated spa treatments reflect an Asian, Ayurvedic, and European fusion.
