Monaco Grand Prix: the top 5 VIP places to be seen

Fancy rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous? Consorting with celebrities? Hobnobbing with Hollywood heartthrobs? Then the Monaco Grand Prix is the perfect place for you. The Monaco Grand Prix is a Mecca for the world’s jet-set and it is firmly entrenched in their summer itinerary. They congregate here every year and there are an elite few locations where you are guaranteed to be in their company… 1. Aboard a Monaco yacht This is THE place to watch the race from and is always awash with celebrities. In Monaco Harbour there are billions of pounds of gleaming white yachts jostling for a place to enjoy unparalleled views of the track action. The yachts in Monaco are jam-packed with the great and the good; all on deck sipping champagne and soaking up the sun and fantastic atmosphere. This is where the select few get invited and the bigger the boat, the better. 2. F1 Paddock Club At almost every other race the Paddock Club is the main VIP choice. It still attracts stars of music, sport and film to its tented village. They can be seen sat in this elite enclosure enjoying free flowing Mumm Champagne and gorgeous gourmet food. The F1 Paddock Club is perfect choice for landlubber VIPs who don’t have their sea legs. 3. Amber Lounge After the race, the A-list hangout is the Amber Lounge. It is the official VIP after-party and tickets are like the gold dust in Luxor champagne. It follows the Grand Prix around the world, providing opulent nightlife experiences for Hollywood stars, F1 champions and music legends. Expect to be partying with catwalk models, billionaires, and business moguls. Many affluent beautiful women come here to bag themselves a rich husband too. Women so stunningly good-looking they could corrupt Alan Titchmarsh. 4. Hotels There are more five star hotels in Monaco per square yard than anywhere else in the world as the whole Principality measures less than two square kilometres. The young jet-set can be discovered at Columbus Hotel and this modern boutique gem is also where most F1 Drivers stay during the Monaco Grand Prix. The billionaires and older super rich will settle in at the Hotel de Paris; an iconic Belle Époque jewel that also houses Alain Ducasse’s 3 Michelin star Louis XV restaurant. A meal for two here with a bottle of wine and you shouldn’t expect any change from a £1000. 5. Nightclubs There are two legendry nightspots that attract the elite like moths to their bright lights. The most iconic is Jimmy’z, which started spinning vinyl over thirty years ago and is still going strong today. Expect to pay 30 euros a drink here if you want to party with the stars. The Living Room is the other star of the nightlife scene in Monaco. It has such a strict dress code that you will have to really glam up just to stand a chance of making it past the fashion police and into the Piano bar and disco. This is just a small selection of VIP hotspots in Monaco; a citadel to wealth that oozes glitz and glamour, and somewhere that only the super rich can afford to reside for any length of time.
