Photograph of the week: Sunset in Phuket

This is a sunset view from one of Sri panwa’s villas set along one of Thailand’s most striking coastlines. This villa is set 60 metres above sea level along the eastern & western ridge and at the very tip of the cape, commanding breathtaking views of the surrounding islands and Andaman Sea. The villa entrance opens out to an infinity swimming pool and spacious terrace, and is centred around an expansive veranda and outdoor living and dining area. Thank you to Sri panwa for permission to re-produce the image. If you have a really special photograph you would like to share with  A Luxury Travel Blog‘s readers, please contact us.

  1. A great resort and an excellent place to watch the sunset, which sets over the island of Phuket to the west (unsurprisingly!). The sunsets in Phuket are breathtaking, and at this time of year great crowds of people gather on the beaches – especially on the west coast, on beaches such as Kata Beach, Suring Beach and Pansea Beach to take in the magical colours at the end of the day – even more magical when there are clouds about; to quote Rabindranath Tagore “Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher a storm, but to add colour to my sunset sky.” A very special sunset bar and restaurant to watch the sunset, on the west coast of Phuket, is from the special site at Kata Rocks…
