They look out to the Gulf of Thailand and feature floor to ceiling windows, tropical hardwood flooring and luscious Thai silk furnishings. Once youve stayed in a pool villa you really dont want to stay anywhere else! Of course, there are some amazing hotel rooms across the world, but who doesnt love the concept of a pool villa with generally more space and of course the option to take a dip in privacy, a concept that is vastly underrated.
From my travels across Thailand I have encountered some truly stunning pool villas, many with unbelievable views, and Ive condensed the best five for you below.

These places look fab, but I was disappointed not to see The Pavillions, Phuket on the list.
The Pavillions is an amazing place with beautiful secluded private villas with private pools. I wrote a Special Feature about them and was very impressed by what they had to offer there.

We are heading to Thailand in April; this article has given us many excellent suggestions and was a very enjoyable read. They all sound very dreamy!
Thanks for sharing, Carole! The pool at Conrad looks amazing. If I may suggest another pool: Villa Amanzi in Phuket, it’s got a 15m infinity pool perched high above a cliff with breathtaking views over the Andaman Sea.
We’d propose getting the most from your holiday in Thailand by splitting your stay between two or more villas in different regions of the country – perhaps starting with a fully catered, private pool villa among the rice paddies of rural northeast Thailand, such as Green Gecko, before heading down south for a beach villa experience.
This will allow visitors to see the vast diversity of the kingdom, from the authentic northeast to the tourist-focused south. And to boot, a vacation in the northeast costs a fraction of the rates charged at the hotel branded villas in the popular tourist centres!
Excellent post on this subject. Pool Villas are the way forward. Getting a few friends or family together distributes the cost and can be the catalyst for an unforgettable vacation experience.
