With such busy lifestyles, there is no comparable luxury than spending quality time together as a family. Searching for the ideal holiday to suit the collective needs of you and your little ones can be an overwhelming task. One wants relaxation and another cultural discoveries, the childrens preferences are not aligned either with one seeking excitement and another happiest playing in the sand. So where do you begin – beach, spa, the great outdoors or a mixture of all three? Here are some inspirational family holiday ideas should you be looking for a luxury beach escape for your family.
Younger guests will love castaway picnics on a deserted sandbank, trying junior yoga or being a marine biologist for the day, whilst parents can relax by their own private plunge pool and golf enthusiasts can enjoy some of the worlds most scenic Championship courses. Children can spend time with a coral curator in Malaysia helping to nourish corals and for some quality time together, take a family cruise on board a traditional dhoni.

I imagine the One&Only hotel is rather out of my budget but it does sound pretty perfect. A lady I used to work with years ago went to the Maldives every year for two weeks. I always wondered if she’d end up buying a holiday home out there, she loved it so much. It always seems so picture perfect and unspoilt, I hope it stays that way in the face of increasing tourism. I’m not sure what I think about the ‘waiter buttons’ on sun loungers in Greece though. Great in theory, but seems a bit too much really, I don’t think I’d have the heart to use it without feeling too snobbish or high maintenance!
