Photograph of the week: Star Lagoon, Raja Ampat, Indonesia

Raja Ampat is located just off the tip of Bird’s Head Peninsula in Indonesia’s West Papua province, formerly known as Irian Jaya. Raja Ampat means the Four Kings, which is in reference to the four major islands. Star Lagoon is one of the discoveries you will make exploring this large archipelago. Raja Ampat is an eco marine park, and is one of the most remote places on the planet, yet renowned for diving, snorkelling and pristine waters. 1. The colours in the photograph are amazing! The green/turquoise of the water and the grey/green of the land is stunning!

  2. I was in the Indonesian part of New Guinea (Irian Jaya) about 35 years ago close to the boarder with Papau New Guinea. The scenery was amazing
