It might not be New York City or even London, but the Barcelona skyline is also one to marvel at. Tibidabo Mountain, the Hotel W, the architecture of Barceloneta, Port Olímpic, and of course the glorious La Sagrada Família, all make up one of the best views in the whole of Europe, and the world.
There are many ways to take in this breathtaking scene, and the city has its fair few fantastic viewpoints. But arguably one of the best ways to see the Barcelona skyline, is by rooftop bar. And of those, there are plenty.
Barcelona EDITION Hotel
Our favourite and best rooftop terrace in the city, you only have to look at its designer Ian Schrager (founder of Studio 54), to know that it’s going to be superb. The rooftop offers a spectacular view of the city taking in the city’s iconic Torre Agbar. The hotel was newly opened in 2018 and is professionally run by the Marriott, meaning that you can expect nothing less than superior service, craft cocktails, and great views.

Situated on the most expensive street in Spain and the second most expensive in Europe, Passieg de Gracia, The Majestic Hotel offers sensational views of the Boulevard after sunset. We recommend trying to sit as close to the balcony railings for jaw-dropping views you certainly won’t forget in a hurry.
During the summer, don’t miss out on the Majestic Sunset DJ Sessions, or the hotel’s Viynl Summer Nights showcasing styles such as jazz, soul, or disco, with a touch of house.

An eco-friendly hotel in the Raval district, Andante is Barcelona’s best kept secret. It has a stunning view of the city’s skyline on its not so decked-out rooftop, and is the best place to go with friends on the slightly cheaper end of the rooftop bar spectrum. Terrace views include: Torre Agbar, La Sagrada Familia, and the Barcelona Cathedral.

Home to one of the most luxurious rooftop bars in the city, it’s no surprise that Grand Central Hotel is a five star destination. You really don’t need to begin with an apology for Barcelona. It is one of my favourite cities in Europe. OK, you haven’t got the sheer altitude advantage of perhaps Dubai, Hong King, New York or Singapore where you are looking down on toytown scenes. What’s different with Barcelona is that you get views with bags of history. Any city that has the Sagrada Familia on its skyline has a great head start.
Drinking on a rooftop is my definition of the word ‘chill’. The cool breeze of the air while enjoying ice cold beers and a beautiful view of the city really brings great satisfaction and relaxation. I would love to visit some of these rooftop bars in Barcelona as I’ve always enjoyed drinking in quiet and open bars rather than in indoor bars with loud music and many people.

I’ve been to La Dolce Vitae and it is amazing! Aside from the 360 views of the city, you also get a view of the Sagrada Familia. Must tries are the Iberian Ham and Sirloin sandwiches. A bit pricey, but that’s what you pay for a Michelin star chef to do your food.
