  1. If we are talking traditional British Christmases – and trying to get away from the commercial fest of Amazon parcel deliveries that Christmas has become – then there can be few things better for summoning up the true Christian spirit of Christmas than a Carol Service in one of Britain’s historic cathedrals or churches.

As you leave please don’t forget to put a large denomination bank note or two in the collection plate. These historic buildings are very expensive to maintain and it is our duty to ensure that they are there for future generations to savour too.

  2. The event at Birmingham should certainly take Carol Concerts to a new level. It’s a spectacular idea to dress the performers up in 18th century costume.
