  1. Tell me about it, 2019 seems to have gone in a blink. Really don’t know what’s happened this year, but I’ve never known time to go that fast before. Maybe I’m just getting old! I’m not Muslim so halal considerations don’t apply to me but this is very helpful for those who are, and these all sound like great choices that are inclusive and family friendly. I’ve not been out over New Year for years and haven’t taken a January hol in forever. I’d quite like to do something in the next two weeks though as it gives you a break to refresh yourself before having to get straight back into the usual routine. I’d be hard pushed to pick just one of these places though. Maybe Maldives? Never been but it always strikes me as a destination that oozes luxury.

  2. Earlier this week I was having lunch in a Heathrow restaurant. The two couples, on the table next to us, were studying the departures board, to some distant and exotic places.

“You know,” said one of them eventually and sounding a little disappointed, “I wish we were going to Mauritius instead.”

Luckily, I’ve been to Mauritius. It really is a dream paradise destination. If you’ve not yet been it’s time to start making plans.

    1. Yes, Mauritius is utterly fabulous, well it can be. That is if you get the right weather. This week has seen a torrential rainstorm. Epic walls of water. If you are going to do one of these tropical destinations do your weather research before you book. Don’t just go to one of the tour operator’s websites who always play down bad weather. Look at some proper reports over a few years. Even then still be prepared to adjust your expectations if the sun ain’t shining every day.

  3. Sadly I’m yet to stay at a Six Senses hotel but they seem to be taking luxury to another level. Would be great to try the property at Zighy Bay in Oman. Visited this beautiful country a few times and there’s always plenty to do. Nice to have a luxury property to return to.

  4. There’s always so much talk of the Maldives and Seychelles as the places to go to. Never made it to either so far but I’ve got a policy maturing soon which would fund a trip for us to one of these dream destinations – but not both. Anyone got any advice on which one I should head for?

    1. Hi Tim,
first of all, I thank to Nabeel for such a great article about the luxury halal holiday destinations.
Both of the destinations are luxury and have one of the most attractive spots in it. In my opinion, the Maldives has a little bit cheap than Seychelles. After completing the your holidays in the Maldives, you have more nearest attractive destinations like Dubai, Sri Lanka, Singapore much more.
