  1. Reminds me of what we’ve missed over the last couple of years.

Once you start looking at the 5* hotels on Tenerife and even some of the 4* you get a lot of bang for you bucks. Space and luxury. Nor have I ever had any complaints about the service.

  2. Tenerife used to be our goto escape for a quick blast of sun, days on the beach and some fabulous meals. For many a year we’d managed to get there at least once a year. Hoping those happy days will return soon.

  3. We can never make up our mind over whether half-board or bed-and-breakfast suits us best. In recent years hotels have got so much better at providing different style restaurants on site. Having said that specialist restaurants in town often have their own distinct character even if it is a bit of a faff to get to them. For us the jury’s still out on this one.

  4. I’m so glad that I found this post. We went to Tenerife for our honeymoon and we’re going back to celebrate our 10th anniversary. As it’s our first long weekend away without the children we’re determined to get a good hotel.

  5. We are beginning to think of a trip to Tenerife in mid-October at that depressing time in London when the days are getting shorter and the first frosts are creeping in.

We’ve done this type of trip before but last time we were a little disappointed with our hotel. This time we want to go more upmarket to make sure that we get something that is really comfortable and a little bit luxurious.

I’m really glad that I found this piece as it is very helpful on some of the options out there.

  6. Although I haven’t booked anything yet it’s that time of the year when my mind starts thinking about some warmth.

Here in Britain as the clocks are about to change and the temperatures are beginning to fall it’s nice to know that you can get on a plane and in a little over four hours you are turning the clock back to summer – and enjoying some great food too.
