Though swimming naked is still taboo in some countries, it is perfectly acceptable in many parts of the world to bare it all and enjoy a swim without fear of judgment. But where are the best countries for skinny dipping? New research from Outforia has revealed the world’s top 10 skinny dipping countries and France has bagged the top spot. According to the research, here are the top 10 countries in the world to go skinny dipping:

“Beaches and clubs” include beaches, pools, resorts and non-landed clubs.
According to the research, France is the world’s best country for skinny dipping, with 397 nudist beaches and 212 naturist campsites. It even has an entire village, “Village Naturiste” in Cap d’Age, where clothing is totally optional. The United States is the world’s 2nd best skinny dipping country, offering 299 nudist friendly beaches with average water temperatures of 62.4˚F. It is also the number #1 country in the world for naturist campsites with 253 across the country including hotspots such as Florida and California. The UK is the world’s 8th best country for skinny dipping, with 51 nudist beaches and clubs as well as 160 naturist campsites. Topless sunbathing is common, with the practice being completely legal and topless sunbathers are a common sight in parks and on beaches every time a heatwave descends. Interestingly, public nudity is only partially legal in 3 of the top 10 best countries for skinny dipping.

  2. I was surprised to see the US on the list- people are generally pretty conservative here! But, where I live, it’s totally acceptable the be naked anywhere. I see naked people by the river all the time! I’ve been thinking about joining them, but get shy.

  3. Why all the fuss? We are all born naked and it’s all gone downhill since Adam & Eve reached out for the fig leaves. I can’t name any other species on the planet that mooches round Primark for bargain undies.
