The Chatsworth Prestige Escape: 2 nights of unparalleled luxury

Chatsworth House, Britain’s much-loved historic house and the family seat of The Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, has teamed up with Devonshire Hotels‘ four red star Cavendish Hotel at Baslow to offer a luxurious, bespoke two-night escape package like no other.

Included in the the Chatsworth Prestige Escape are many first class dining experiences along with an individually-tailored, full-day visit to Chatsworth, that includes a tour of the house and garden, curated and led by a dedicated Chatsworth Ambassador to reflect the guests’ personal interests, whether these be artwork and tapestries, architecture or the estate as a contemporary film location. Each tour will take the guest into areas of the House or gardens, not normally accessible to the public.

This is coupled with a luxurious getaway at The Cavendish and a personalised fine dining experience at the three AA rosette ‘Gallery’ restaurant. Included in the stay is a theatre-style interactive experience at the ‘Kitchen Table’, where you can witness the Chef and his team at work in a live kitchen, whilst on the other evening guests will be able to savour the hotel’s Signature tasting menu, enhanced with wine tasting before dinner with the hotel’s Sommelier, and the opportunity to meet with Head Chef, Adam Harper.

When visiting Chatsworth, guests will be given VIP treatment by their own dedicated Chatsworth Ambassador, with refreshments on arrival and their own dedicated parking space. A custom-designed, cultural tour of the house and gardens will be interspersed with a light lunch or afternoon tea and regular refreshments.

Use of a golf buggy and driver is included, as is a souvenir copy of the book ‘Chatsworth, Arcadia, Now: Seven Scenes from the Life of a House’, signed by The Duke of Devonshire himself.

Like millions of other visitors I’ve really enjoyed looking round Chatsworth House. I’ve been there three times now. I’d love to get beyond the ropes and locked doors to see this wonderful house from the inside.

  2. Brian says:

What really appeals to me most about this special offer is a tour with a gardening expert to get the real inside story on centuries of expertise. You don’t chances like that very often.

  3. Zoe says:

This would all make for the ultimate date night. Well date nights actually.

  4. Deb Walker says:

Wow! That really is quite a package. It would make for an unforgettable escape.

  5. James says:

For that sort of price you could have a week’s holiday on the Med. But there have been times when I’ve been too busy to take time off. That’s where this sort of uber-luxury 2 night break comes into its own. You feel as if you’ve had a fantastic weekend escape and you’re still back at your desk first thing Monday morning. Then, whatever the money, it’s worth doing.

  6. Roger says:

Over the years I’ve come to accept that I know very little about wines. It is far better to enjoy the pairings that the sommelier proposes. It makes for a much more enjoyable meal.

  7. Cheryl Jackson says:

I can see that once you are safely in the Chatsworth estate you probably wouldn’t want to go anywhere else. If you did Chatsworth is so well placed for exploring the Peak District and Derbyshire in general.

  8. Elaine Plum says:

This is an ultimate package in a fantastic location that would be perfect for a big birthday or a big anniversary celebration. I’ll be remembering this one for future events.

  9. Jack says:

This is probably about as close as most of us will ever get to living the Downtown Abbey sort of life.
