Sometimes there are some surprises beyond the big names and often better value too. Why not try Birmingham or Leeds instead of London? How about swapping Adelaide for Sydney? Or Fez for Marrakech?
No doubt that Barcelona would be most people’s top city in Spain. Totally agree with that one.

It sounds as if I should research a trip there before everyone’s getting on a plane to Laos.
Pleased to see that Hanoi got the Vietnam vote over Ho Chi Minh City. Hanoi isn’t as in your face as HCMC.
Chengdu has to be the place for my wife. Chinese food, pandas and shopping. She would be in her seventh heaven.
I have been to many big cites like those listed. I now prefer to visit small towns without the crowds, noise, and pollution on many levels. Western United States contains my very favorite places and people!
