  1. Never forget that it is a shopping festival. Last year, I flew out of Dubai, the day DSF ended, when the bargains were at their hottest, and people were arriving at the airport laden with luggage.

  2. Whatever you choose to do, travel early. The whole world goes to Dubai for New Year’s Eve and it’s hard to describe how congested the roads are. Parking can also be a nightmare.

  3. If this is the last post of 2023 it’s a great one to finish on, certainly luxurious and very colourful too. Wishing everyone at ALTB a Happy New Year and looking forward to many more fascinating posts in 2024.

  4. Can’t be easy living in Dubai and having to make a decision on where you’re going for New Year’s Eve. Sometimes there’s too much choice.

  5. If you can’t make up your mind as to what to do find yourself a very tall building. Which isn’t hard in Dubai. Head up to the roof and then you’ll be able to watch at last 3 or 4 spectacular fireworks displays simultaneously.
