Dream destination weddings at Four Seasons Maldives

Dreaming of a destination wedding without any hassle? Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru has opened a new Wedding Salon, in collaboration with renowned Japanese wedding specialist Kelly An.

After choosing their stunning wedding outfits, shoes and accessories at any of the three Kelly An bridal boutiques in Japan’s Yokohama, Osaka or Fukuoka, couples will arrive at Landaa Giraavaru to find the same items waiting for them in the Resort’s new salon. Without any transportation stress, the couple can relax and focus on beginning their future together.

Brides will have access – in both Japan, and on-site at Landaa Giraavaru – to a gorgeous range of 50 bridal gowns in traditional whites and creams as well as shades of red, blue and orange, in addition to pretty hair accessories, tiaras, necklaces, earrings and shoes to complete their look. Meanwhile, grooms can choose from a range of 30 tuxedos, white shirts and shoes.

Stylish onsite hair and make up

Offering the ultimate in ease as well as style, Japanese hair and make-up consultant Arisa Ueno is available at Landaa Giraavaru for all hair and make-up needs. Arisa has 19 years of experience as a wedding hairdresser and makeup artist, a decade of which has been spent working exclusively with Kelly An. Having facilitated dream wedding style for Japanese couples in New Caledonia, New Zealand, Fiji, France, Italy, Greece, and now the Maldives, Arisa is a calming, capable and creative presence on any couple’s big day.

Bridal parties at Landaa Giraavaru can also enjoy hair-styling and wedding-ready hair treatments from Landaa’s sea-view Rossano Ferretti salon – manned by talent from the world-leading academy of legendary stylist Rossano Ferretti, host of Hairstyle The Talent Show on Discovery+. Ferretti stylists are specially trained in the group’s unique method, which considers everything from the natural fall of the hair to face shape, character and skin tone to create flattering, highly personalised results.

A dream wedding at a dream destination

With its powder white-sand beaches and endless backdrop of blues and greens, the Maldives is one of the world’s most idyllic and sought-after destinations for both weddings and honeymoons. Located in the country’s first UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, Landaa Giraavaru boasts one of the most breath-taking locations to tie the knot: a romantic overwater Wedding Pavilion accessible only by boat.

Hovering above crystal-clear waters, the pavilion allows the happy couple to walk down a fairy-tale glass aisle, as tropical marine life swirls below. The new salon ensures picture perfect moments abound, with artful Kelly An and Arisa Ueno styling against sea-meets-sky views in every direction.

“We’re dedicated to helping craft beautiful and bespoke weddings for all of our guests, though this particular partnership supports guests from Japan,” comments Armando Kraenzlin, Regional Vice President and General Manager of Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru. “Partnering with such a respected Japanese bridal boutique as Kelly An and celebrated hair and make-up consultant Arisa allows us to offer an ever more seamless and superlative experience, leaving our couples and their guests to simply enjoy every moment of their special day.”

  1. We had our honeymoon in the Maldives long ago and it was incredible. I get the impression that the Four Seasons would be even better.

  2. I wish we’d opted for a wedding in the Maldives.

We got married in a gale in Derbyshire in April. Everyone was too busy holding on to their hats to get into the spirit of the day. The wedding photos were a nightmare.
