Personally I think that it’s not just Marbella having a culinary moment. For some years now, Spanish cuisine has been on an upward curve. Some of my well-travelled friends think that Spanish food is up there with the very best of the rest.
Spanish cuisine is starting to be showcased all over the world as one of the favourite cuisines.
I so enjoy writing about it. Thank you for your comment.
My pet theory is that the tapas craze has done a lot for Spanish food. Having plenty of options on a tapas menu encourages chefs to try out new tastes and techniques on a small scale. If it doesn’t work very little is lost and they move on to their next idea.
The Playwright is an unusual and intriguing name for a restaurant. Are there any clues around as to why he was given that name?
Thank you for your question, I will ask the owner, I get they did tell me over 8 months, I will check my notes. I will ask her.
