Advances with in-flight internet in the US

Category: Air Travel, California, Florida, New York, North America, Regions, Speciality Travel, USA — Paul Johnson @ 10:46 am

In-flight internetAircell has obtained FAA approval for air-to-ground mobile broadband on US domestic flights, bringing us much closer to in-flight internet.   Approval is only for Boeing 767-200 aircraft at this stage, so you can expect to see developments with Virgin America and American Airlines fleets later this year.   Routes between Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York and Miami are said to be being given priority.
