Gourmet food and fine wine weekend at Swinton Park

Swinton Park in Masham, North Yorkshire,  has planned an innovative weekend which is sure to delight the experienced food and wine connoisseurs – and convert the budding gourmet!   A packed but suitably leisurely weekend will allow guests to experience some of the finest local food, and the award-winning cuisine of Head Chef Andy Burton.       The weekend commences on Friday 26th January 2007 with wine tasting hosted by their vintners, followed by dinner in Samuel’s restaurant. Saturday morning includes a foodie treasure hunt in Wensleydale, a brewery tour in Masham, or simply the opportunity to relax in the hotel, whilst the afternoon will take guests to the Cookery School for food and wine tastings, demonstrations and more. A Champagne reception in the evening followed by a five-course gourmet dinner, wine and after-dinner port completes the weekend. Package costs £247.50 per person and includes 2 nights’ accommodation, or you can upgrade to a suite for a further   £100.
