Yet another celebrity is trying to make in-roads into the hotel industry and this time it appears to be the turn of Richard Gere. He has purchased a 14-acre property in Bedford, New York, with a business partner for a cool $2.7 million, but is facing problems with trying to get approval to reonvate the historic landmark. According to the New York Daily News, he can’t get planning approval until he has demonstrated that the plans will cater for disabled access.
I have a similar problem. I am renovating an appartment in a world heritage site. It is in the capital city Valletta. Have been spending thousands buying French furniture and modern classics such as Kartell pieces. So I feel that I might have the same problem as Richard, only I am not able to wait for a long time with my investment.
