  1. Santa Barbara International Film Festival is a staple in the communities culture. It’s highly recognizable and a real treat to experience. I’ve experienced and seen some really great stuff! Many places in Santa Barbara book up months in advance so you have to get on top of it! I had a hell of a time finding a good place one year! We stayed at the Sandman Inn (www.thesandmaninn.com). It was really great and we had the best of time! It was very budget friendly and quaint and quiet.

  2. I always go to the film festival whenever It is in town and it is always so much fun! 2007 was a great for movies and the film festival did nothing short of producing a good time! San Ysidro Ranch is gorgeous and the location is the absolute best but a bit pricy to say the least.

  3. I have to agree with Taylor, the SB International Film Festival is a staple in the communities culture! So much fun and so many big names travel far and wide to come and attend. I went a few years ago and it was an excellent time.

  4. When does the Int’l Film Festival come into town again? I am a sucker for foreign films (or films in general). Santa Barbara makes for a good backdrop for an event like this. So many different cultures in this diverse city. Also gets unknown film makers well known in the industry! I hear it’s pretty hard to get tickets for something like this though, I’ll have to get on it early this year. San Ysidro is so wildly expensive to stay at-I couldn’t imagine staying there (though I wish I could!).

  5. Film Festivals in Santa Barbara are always so much fun- friends and family and lots of great food and of course the movies, how can you go wrong!?Santa Barbara in itself is the best place to travel to in California by far if you like beautiful beaches and beautiful scenery. Perfect weather and so much culture.
